We all need to blame ourselves a little bit more. Feat. Z
Created/Produced by Kareem Rahma (@kareem) and Andrew Kuo (@akuoproject)
Summary
Guest Z drops a spicy take that people need to blame themselves more instead of pointing fingers at everyone else. She argues that avoiding accountability is easier than looking in the mirror and doing something about your problems. The host vibes with it hard. Both admit they used to blame others constantly until they realized they were the ones messing up. It's your fault, and that's okay. The clickbait energy is real, and they know it.

So, what's your take? We all need to blame ourselves a little bit more.
100% agree.
Thank you.
Because a lot of people are out there being like, "This happened to me. That happened to me."
It's your life, brother.
Maybe it didn't happen to you. Maybe it happened because of you.
And most of the time it is because of the person. I'm sorry. It's your fault.
Is this accountability kind of or we we cooking with accountability?
I just think our world is so like based in shame. And to alleviate the shame, we just want to avoid it all completely. So, we'll point the finger at everybody else. It's like, baby, like look in the mirror or turn your finger around and look at ourselves. Like, it's your fault and it's okay. The scariest thing is knowing that there's a problem and knowing that the reason is you and that you could do something about it cuz that calls you to action and a lot of people don't want that.
A lot of people would rather say, "I can't."
You always can. It's your fault.
It's not always.
Even if it isn't your fault, the way that I like to process things is seeing the way that which I it is my fault cuz I'm in control of my life. It's my actions, my reactions I'm in control of. I can't control anybody else. You know what I mean? I set myself up to fail if I look at other people to make me have a good day.
You weren't like this all the time.
No, I pointed the finger at everybody. My whole—
You did point the finger.
Yeah, I love pointing my finger. I was like, people don't want to be blamed for something because of the shame and the fat feelings that comes around that. But like it literally doesn't have to be like that. You you up and I'll just do better. You know what I mean?
I'm just up.
Yeah. And I up a lot. And the only re—the only way that I could become a better person is realizing like, damn, I up. Like, you know what I mean? I I kept on looking at other people and I was like, why is my life not changing? It's because I was up and you were probably up, too.
I up many times, but I stopped.
And how did you do that?
I just had a realization.
That—what what was your realization?
That no one was really in control of my destiny except for me.
Is that right?
Yeah. I mean, is that—
Is that the right answer?
I'm just asking. I'm just asking.
But you were looking at me like this.
Yeah. I'm like, no, because honestly, that's exact. I mean, maybe this is like clickbaity, right? It's your fault. But is you know—
That was her fault.
That was my fault.
